KATI Luedecke
Ceviche Dish
For the last twelve years, Chef Kati Luedecke has been cooking her way through the Austin food scene. During the Covid lockdown, she decided to step away from her food truck and catering company to focus on her business: Neighbor's Dog Park & Coffee Shop. Kati is always down for BBQ, no matter what country she’s in. The dish that was created for the Chef Series was inspired by her travels over the last few years. It’s a take on a personal favorite that she created for the first restaurant she worked in Austin.

NIXTA taquería
chef Edgar Rico
Tortillero
Hailing from Austin, Texas, Nixta is not a typical taquería. It treads a line between super-traditional (they make their own masa & tortillas using heirloom corn from Mexico) and unconventional (you don't see many taquerías where duck confit stands in for carnitas). Owner/Chef Edgar Rico, a James Beard Award winner, and Owner/Operations Sara Mardanbigi aim to transform the landscape of what Mexican-American cuisine can be by providing imaginative creations that are steeped in technique, history, and a maíz revolution.

Siete FOODS
Familiar Bowl
Siete Family Foods was born when the Garza family helped Veronica (Vero) Garza overcome autoimmune conditions that almost wrecked her life. The Garzas began learning about the ways that food can either heal or harm. Vero began making grain-free tortillas for her family, and they loved them. Our family motto is "Juntos es Mejor" (together is better), the rest of our family decided to try the grain-free lifestyle. To all of our amazement, we felt better. While this commitment to our health was gratifying, it wasn't always easy. It meant saying “no” to foods we grew up eating or had been a part of our heritage for generations. Vero began experimenting in the kitchen with alternative ingredients, trying to find a way for us to enjoy traditional foods without sacrificing any flavor or sentimentality. When Grandma said that Vero's almond flour tortillas tasted better than her revered recipe for flour tortillas, we realized we had something special. Now, eight years after the start of Siete, we believe in the power of food more than ever. We're passionate about making and sharing delicious, nourishing food, gathering together in an authentic community, and ensuring everyone has a seat at the table.
