The Daedream Series, envisioned by ​pattern designer Shadé Akanbi, ​presents a bold and authentic ​collection of African-inspired ​designs with a contemporary twist. ​This original tile line is offered in ​both matte and glossy finishes, ​allowing for a range of design ​possibilities suitable for both indoor ​and outdoor spaces

High tech and made to last. The printed ​pattern versions of Daedream designs are ​larger in size and scale, making them perfect ​for larger installations such as flooring, ​backsplashes, high traffic and wet areas.

The ultimate dreamy handmade tile. ​Everything about Daedream relief is ​handcrafted in-house. The smaller scale ​design, relief texture and terracotta lines ​offers a gorgeous detail to backsplashes, ​shower details and barfaces.

Escape into the daydream...
Everything is in this collection is named after something familiar in Nigerian and Black culture like ​cowrie shells and collard greens. As well as some of my favorite places I have traveled to and have ​been inspired by that remind me of the actual motifs the tiles are named after. For example, the ​palm trees in Kenya or the luscious jungles and botanical life of Aldea Zama.

Shadé ​Akanbi
Raised in The Bay Area of California, Shadé credits ​her Nigerian-American upbringing and extensive ​international travels as her main creative influences ​for designing. From her Brooklyn home, Shadé ​currently shares her work with several brands at a ​time, while cultivating an ever-growing global textile ​collection filled with influential prints, patterns and ​colors. As the Creative Director and Designer of ​Printed Pattern People, Shadé translates traditional ​ethnic patterns and textiles into modern ​reinterpretations for everyday wear. For Shadé, she ​says, "My personal world, from childhood to present ​day, has always been multicultural and my passion ​for creating a global fusion lifestyle and brand has ​only been nurtured by my love and appreciation for ​art and design."
